problem with staying yota: Any good hp option other than the lexus v8:

Running a 1jz or 2jz or 7mgte= You're WAY overcomplicating the system, so that if you have any problems while running, you've got a whole lot more electronics to deal with.

Not only that, if you modify any of those over stock you've got to spend $$ to upgrade fuel management.......and ALL those wires have to be waterproofed. Plus, you'll STILL need a snorkel....and if you get mud in $600 turbos, you can kiss those suckers goodbye.

For mud, you want to be as simple as possible, as little waterproofing as necessary to keep it running right, and a simple snorkel setup.

Besides the fact that 2jz's cost about $2k+ just for the bare motor...you could do an entire 4.3 or sbc swap for that much money alone.
