Homemade front bumper for my 89 runner...
Hey guys,
After my fairly successful build on my rear bumper, I thought I'd try my hand at the front bumper. Here are some pics of my prgress. I haven't taken as many pics as I did last time and I'm in South Carolina for some training for a week, so it'll be a bit before new pics are taken. Suggestions or comments are welcome.
This Picture shows the angle of the edges. This shows that the bumper isn't straight, but it actually curves with the factory curve of the front end/grill.
Oh, and I also did the Battery/Intake Swap and love it... Pics...

Intake swap looks good. Not sure how you are clamping it down. Flip your battery around so it doesn't have a chance to hit the positive terminal on the fender.

From the looks of it, you're gonna forgo a winch cradle? No matter, looks good! Looking forward to seeing it on the truck. You and I built rear bumpers about the same time, I'm also warming up for a front bumper build. Was just working on the CAD model today, actually!

looking good, really simple and classy, I have a piece of square tubing laying around exactly like the one u used for a rear bumper and seeing yours it actually looks really good in the front! can't wait to see it finished and mounted! keep up!

i would get some small like 2inch round ones, if you ever want to use strip style like that, go to vleds.com they started that design and make much nicer and cheeper priced leds. will last a lot longer.

I moved the existing lightbulb and wiring into the side marker. i cut a hole into the marker light below existing bulb using a dremel tool. i made a factory style screw in type hole so no special attachments are neccessary and i can change the bulb with ease. it took about an hour to do both sides. i dont have safety inspections so i havent had to deal with that. it works great tho.

I have new pix, but my internet crashed at home and this work computer doesn't allow access to Photobucket, so I'll get some up as soon as I can.
