I don`t know if you could weld it!!

But I know I could so that means yes it could be done.

it would just be like any other frame splice .

lots and lots of prep work the welding is the easy part. getting it all lined up square can be interesting

The real work comes in installing the brake lines , E-brake cable and fuel lines things like that.

Sizing the drive shaft

something like this I would charge time and materials off the top of my head at least $ 2000 to 3000 maybe more.

Some more things that you might need to think about.

i take it the whole project is to have a 4x4 camper.

In this case I think your doing things back wards

It would be much easier to install a front section of A 4X4 frame to the chinnok .

Only because to do this correct it would need to be stripped down to the bare frame pretty much .

This is one of those things that really needs lots of pre planing .

It could be that the frame widths are different just making things more interesting and time consuming .

Didn`t someone do these conversions if I recall I remember seeing or reading something at one time

Wouldn't it be easier to just put the driveline and front axle from a 4x4 truck?

Hard call to make on this without looking up close and personal.

No matter how you go about it there will be lots of fab work .

If the frames are different width .

You get into moving spring pads while no big deal if not done correct can cause major alignment issues.

we all should know with enough money and time all things can be done till it is all said and done it will end up to be cheaper and go buy a full size truck of your choice and a slide in camper.

Even being used to the small engine add even more weight then your gonna want more power .
