Im sorry its been awhile but I will have pics one of these days and updates
Been snowing like crazy too up here in seattle Ive been driving with chains on my 2wd chevy and love it
I intend to work on it as soon as I get settled into my new place which I still need to find and only have a few days. Its been tuff!
youll all be the first to get to see the new work. Ive been learning alot at the machine shop
Ive got alot of cool things im thinkin about doing. Motors on the stand but I have to work on the chevy pressure plate in order to run a bigger cheaper
toyota disk off a 07 tacoma. Its the only disk that can be used bigger than AA, downey and NWOF, for less. The 07 Taco disk is 10.875 instead of the 10.5". I have to machine out the pressure plate surface to use the disk but I will gain a very nice clutch from it doing it aspecialy whith using the 11" flywheel. Should be perfect!
Im also contemplating what material to use for the collant lines. Im thinking steel for the cost and paint the inside or Copper. It has come down in price but I havent ever really worked with it before and I can easily get my hands on cheap steel.
Little update. Ill get more coming as soon as I possibly can cause i want to be wheelin my runner not my chevy
Just not the same fun

Your absolutly right about the people freaking thinking its a ton of snow. Granted its alot for this area cause I havent seen any snow like this since I was in 1st grade, but come on! Dont worry, if you pull up next to me at a stop light in this snow thinking your gonna get an easy pass... You bet your a$$ im gonna be a challanging race for it

idiots STAY OFF MY ROADS AND TRAILS

OK OK so I got some pics for you all finaly no its not running but its progress
So as I have found only 3 companies really sell the clutch kits for these swaps. For a pressure plate im using a centerforce I purchased for under 200 I believe from Jegs. Its 11" to match my 11" flywheel and works with 4.3 all the way up tp 454's. I have found the only disk I can use is a 10.5" from Downey, AA or NWOR. Well I take that back
I wanted to run a bigger disk to go with my pressure plate being its 11" I wanted more. so I did some research and found this

Straight from the toyota dealer is a brand new 08 disk from a tacoma with the same r-series tranny and 21 spline. It measures 10 7/8 so is now the biggest possible to run instead of the 10.5"... Oh not to mention it cost me only $90 no shipping while the AA and all the others are over $120
The only issue is the center section is about 1/8" to big to fit into the centesection of the PP. SOOOOOOOO......

Got to love working at a machine shop

The disk now fits perfectly and will be bolted up very soon.
I just moved into my first house so work should be continuing very soon for you all including myself
Here are some pics for you all too last weekend in my friends rig
Enjoy
Got a new camera too so pic quality should be much better now

More to come very soon
