other than people that build bumpers for a living (they probably won't give you their designs), I doubt most people have detailed bluprints.
Just take off your front bumper and start measuring and go off a design you like.

build your whole bumper out of paper first. so you know where to cut it, and have all the templates ready to go, so you know how it will look before you dump the money into it and it turns out not how you wanted it to.
i would also suggest looking around at other peoples custom flat stock bumpers so you kind of have an idea of what you like.
good luck man

Hey...I have made my own bumpers using tube style piping.....I pulled and pushed trucks out with ease...never hade any probs....I'l post some pics later one tonight!!!
The were fairly easy to do...cut theme in the shape I wanted.....only needed a welder, metal cutting blades and a grinder

i know i know.. its fiberglass but after thinking about it... its a 1/4 thick it can be built cheaply ( i can do this work NO PROBLEM) boats are fiberglass and take a beating. i can build it off a winch plate or at least have options. can be easily fixed if damaged. light weight.
plus i dont beat on my truck.. yes it does go off road but i dont see myself causing serious damage it.
so outside of its not steel what do you guys think of it
sorry to highjack but ...
