Alright Ive not got much done to the shell but I have been trying to find something cheaper and/or lighter to put as a skin and what I I thought about 1/4 inch ply wood covered in fiberglass and realized that would be heavier and more expensive than the aluminum so what I came up with was corrugated plastic I know it sounds like crap but Ive read up on it and I think it will work great it is water and mold/rot proof and its tough it will dent and but they say its puncture and tear risistant (?).. and after the election there is a lot of corrigated plastic signs that get disposed of so I should be able to get all I want for free.... What do you guys think???

well I bobbed the bed and now my fiberglass shell fits so I probably wont finish this build. I did cut it back down to fit the bed now I just dont know if I will ever finish it seeing as the fiberglass one only needs a window in the side and it will be done....I still might build this one just as a project tho.

Thanks I just hope I have room to stick the chevys under the rear without hanging the shackle off my bumper!

Look at this thread to see an 84 bobbed 12.5" with 63 chevys under it. Scroll almost halfway down the page to see it.

I hope I can still use my gate!!! dont look like he can unless he notches the gate to clear the frame but come to think of it the gates mount different so I shouldn't have a problem....that is a sweet build!

any one have a better ideas?

I also think Im gonna put a few of these abovet the back door and wire them into the tail and brake lights...

Once you re-skin it the wobble will be gone, the flat straps on top will only brace it along the same plane... you need diagonals on the sides and ends or covered and fastened to get rid of it.
