Cutting Fenders on 90 style 4runner
I love the rock crawler look and want to fit 37 inch tires but don't want to lift my 4runner super high. Does anyone have pics of 90's style 4runner with cut fenders?

Check out "baby" and "boobie"
Are you actually gonna 'wheel it, or is this just for the "rock crawler look"?

I used this technique...

... to stuff my 35's under my 91 4runner with no lift.
It took substantial cutting & massaging at the pinch weld & firewall, some trimming of the back of the front fenders, and some trimming at the front of the rear fenderwells. I also have 1 side in the rear that slightly catches in rolled-in lip at the top of the wheelwell due to the panhard pushing the diff over slightly on compression. I plan to clearance that some in the future.
I rubbed very slightly during a whole day of wheeling. With stock backspacing rims like mine, it does rub the idler arm slightly at full left lock.

Take it easy on the hate. The boyz over here like the monster truck look. It's what we call pavement pounders. Everyone builds cars and trucks differently for different reasons. I like my truck on the safe side and want to actually wheel it from time to time so I was planning a minimal lift to clear 37's or 35's on 17X8.5 wheels. My 4runner currently has about 12"s of lift which I feel is to high for wheeling. I want to get about 6" to 8"s.

Monster trucks have tall tires last I checked.
I'm down with huge lift, and wide tires ... what I don't understand is huge lift with small diameter wide tires, and especially on rims where the bead has to be stretched for them to fit on the wide rims.

I said monster truck look not an actual monster truck. The guyz over here like that wide ass look with the big tire lugs sticking outside the truck fenders.
I totally agree with you on the tire issue, but I still think those trucks look nice. You can have your opinion. Everyones different. If they wanted to build a ramblah, they would go a different route I'm sure.
