oh i must not have read it.
otherwise, it's turning out pretty well.
next thing is some bigger tires to fill out the wheel well lol

Well I just got my truck back together. And I thought it was road worthy. I knew there were still a few areas I needed to weld up but didn't realize how bad my drivers side rear leaf spring hanger was. I was showing a friend of mine at work my bed mount brackets when he pointed this out to me. It wasn't like that a couple days ago. I just hauled a heavy load and I guess that made it come apart. I'm currently working on it and its not attached at all.

I'm just lucky I made it home.

im getin ready to do the same thing to my 1994 extra cab.by looking at it i am thinkin it would look better if i cut and extended the frame ,so i can keep the steps as is and then i would only have to narrow the box up some.let me know what any of ya think.by the way i do know how to weld.and gusseting the frame with ptates, should keep it strong. will have to have a longer drive line ,get a custom e brake cabel ,make a extension for the fuel tank mount, and it should be better than new, really glad im not the only step side lover, had a 57 chevy napco 4x4 for 18 years , love that step side.but it was addicted to fuel.an drank to much ,and harder than any thing to get parts for.would really like to see your photos but they wont come up ,i will look again in a few days. keep at it, the world needs more people like us .too show them that if dont look outside the box ,you will never see what could be. oh ya also going to put a 3.4 v6 in it ,i am so tired of the 3.0 v6 .what a problem child those motors are.easy swap, way more power.wish me luck its only money.
