Lightbulb Custom blocks, Any thoughts?

I have been thinking of putting 2 inch blocks under my truck. I have read gobbs of material that say not to block your front. But what if I were to machine these blocks big enough so that the U-bolts would go through them and leave plenty of meat that goes around the bolt. Any thoughts?

Don't do it! for the trouble you'd go to, it would would be cheaper and much wiser to put some springs under the front, beside some states don't permit the installation of lift blocks in the front.

Another consideration up front with stock steering is that the steering J-am and drag link on the driver's side will hit the u-bolts (and bind up the steering) if you even try to add another leaf to the spring pack.
