Yes, the "twins" double as turn signals. For the smooth edges I a flap disc after rough grinding, then a sander to smooth it all out. That way the edges look round and smooth like glass. The difficult part was keeping the edges sraight and not like a wave.

Trailyota put alot of work into this I pretty much drank beer, annoyed him with words like jig, and gave him loads of moral support. Really I was skeptical at first as I always liked the classic tube bumper but the final product is bringing me around. Though I will go with the side marker turn signals.
There's that FS guy that loves to ticket guys at the front of Evan's, haven't been busted by him and hope not to.

Nice looking bumper, Might have to reconsider my MC rear bumper.

I drive atleast 200 miles a wk in my rig, yr round. Hate my commute to work but i drive thru one of the biggest WaSP traps in the state, Nisqually I5. Even when i had no mud flaps for about a month no cops harassed me.

Knock on wood but seems like what i thought were the most stingent cops in the state arent as picky as i thought.

My rear bumper is as illegal as hell. If I got rear ended... I'd prob get sued by the deceased's family for decapitation. Well hey, dont follow so damn close!

Dude, it's probably mostly up here. The strech of hwy 20 between the island and I-5 cops just sit there and nail people.

Thanks for the comments. This was a lot of work. However, it's only the first one...I'm hoping any more will go faster.


Keep it up...You'll have more options later on. You can always take some classes at a tech college after you get the career locked down; that's what I'll be doing in the next year. OR...to speed it up... get a decent 220V mig welder and I got out of the construction trade 5 years ago for something different....and have never looked back.

 

I'm thinking about making this into a kit. Thoughts?
