Check this custom bumper out
So my buddy Rob got this wild hair up his ass to do something new for his 23y/o 4rnr that was different from the mainstream. This is the same guy that helped me chop off my IFS to go SAS. Once Rob got this idea the was no talking him down, dudes a fricking guided missile once locked in. I really think he hit the mark. We hoping you guys can give us some feed back.
Here's the mock up, base is TG winch plate.

Always best to reinforce the front crossmember for seroius recovery

Yes indeed a plate bumper.

Here is obvious the direction of this bumper build.

All pieces were laser cut including the boobies.

Hers'd the finished getting primered.

Painted and mounted

Tried to keep it tight but with enough room to tie in an exo later down the road.

Trails here are tight so tried to keep the bumper the same.

Here's his Warn M8000set in for fitment only
Working on some stinger ideas.

is this truck gonna see streets? If so, it needs to maintain 4" all the way accross in hieght. Also min. bumper hight is 28 inches to the bottom i believe. Looks good otherwise. And I do like the idea of using the tg winch mount.

Be one helluva rare cop to ever cite that bumper for being illegal.

Hello, I'm Rob. This is the ft bumper I built for my 4runner. Thanks for the comments and ideas. I'm looking for ideas for a rear bumper. I'm torn on buying or building...but leaning more toward building one to match the front.
This rig will see about 40 street 60 trail/forest roads. I did a lot of research of the State of Washington RCW's to obey to the law as much as possible. If someone knows a Washington state RCW that states 4" across the entire front, please PM ME with it.
I'm sure there will be alot of questions on the bumper, so here are some quick answers.
It's 3/16ths plate steel except for the 1/4" main winch plate
Yes, I can high-lift off the sides w/o warping or bending the bumper.
Boobie girls are blinkers; my factory blinkers were only in the front...as are these. (I'll do the corner marker blinker mod later)
It'll eventually have a grill/headlamp guard for added protection.
The photos are bad, however it's level all the way across the front. The blinkers are also centered below the headlamps.
Blinkers will be LED's later.
