Bumper mounting

Hey guys, I have an aftermarket bumper mounted on a crossbar that's welded to my frame rails, recently I mounted 285/75/16 BFGs but there's some serious rubbing on turns and I want to add a body lift, will this affect my bumper mounting at all more than just adding some space between the bumper and the grill?

yup, you'll have a gap equivalent to whatever body lift you add. will not resolve your contact issues with tires/bumper though, you'll likely have to trim the end of the bumper. before adding a body lift, try pounding out the pinch weld of the firewall and trim the bumper - you may get all the clearance you need with this, then decide if you want/need the BL. remember that to get true clearance, you need to test/adjust for full steer and full articulation of suspension, not just at ride height.

what make/model is this?

Move the bumper out toward the front as much as needed .

I doubt it is more then a 1"or2"

Okay I'll look at it tomorrow hopefully, and it's a 1998 SR5 with a 2.5 inch rough country suspension lift with 285/75/16 BFG's AT and my bumper is the addictted offroad plate tube hybrid bumper with a winch mount.
