Built a brake for my floor press

It was raining and cold outside, so I thought I would work on one of the things on my to do list. I had an idea in my head for a brake for my floor press. I did not know if I had enough material when I started but here is what I came up with.

It can bend up to 7.5" of 1/4" plate. It would have been nice to have enough material to make it the entire length of the press. but maybe later.

I am not real happy with the bottom die, I need to get some heavy angle. Would have also been nice to have a band saw to cut the top die, but made it work.

I also need to get some springs to hold up the top die.

Having built this one. I think when I get the material I will make the next one the length of the bed of he press. Instead of using the bolts use tube in tube with the long tube running from the top towards the bottom so it will pass between the channels on the bed. Make supports for the top of the brake so it is in contact all the way accross the bottom of the plate that hydro pump sits on. Should be able to bend a piece a steel a foot long. Also make the upper die about a 6 inches instead of the 3"or so I have now. If any of that made any sense. But should be able to bend stuff like spring brackets, little tabs such with this one.

Thanks
