they were some automated sanitary control valves, but i really can't leave the pic and tell you who i work for. some other ppl know who i work for so the pic goes bye bye regardless.

engineering project manager: i help put beans in a can , and no, i haven't met Duke yet, but jay's cousin Drew, from the Chili commercials, is a buddy of mine...

i'm working a half-day today and taking the afternoon off. i'm getting the spare mounting plate punched and the studs pressed in, getting the rest of the steel that i need, and the carrier will be finished for the most part later today!

i'll still need to take the bumper off, finish bracing, and then coat w/ a good primer and top coat of rattle can, drill and tap for the latch, and do something about the hold-open pin.

pics later this afternoon/evening...

sure, for the right price. PM sent. i won't be painting it red until sometime in the spring when it warms up and i get a break from working on the runner for a while.

thanks for the compliments...

you know, i really dig the bumper, but i'm just not feeling the carrier so far. i may be changing it up somewhat before i consider it complete...

Looks pretty nice! What's the reason for overlapping the tube on the tire carrier? It looks like it makes the tire stick out farther than necesary which I would think is a bad thing.

i overlapped it to keep the carrier away from the body cause so many people have warned me about vibrations, but it looks like it would have been fine going sraight up w/ them now that's it's together. that's the main thing that i'm not liking. i just might have to do something about that...
