Post axle swap

I got an 89 2wd. back in the 80s toyota went from a 55" rear end to a 57" rear end in the 4wd trucks. i am going to put one of those axles in my truck for the spring over setup which will give me 3" or 4" of lift. when toyota switched form the 55" to the 57" were the axle perchs moved or will the 57" fit in my truck even if it has the suspension setup for the 55" rear end? i want to get a spring over setup in the rear and do a spindle lift in the front.

I know the narrow and wide rears have the same spring perches for a 4X4. Don't know if it is the same as 2 wheel drive though.
