Automatic behind 22R?

Anybody know how to swap an automatic behind a 22R engine? I'm thinking like a TH-350 or Ford C-4. I think I've seen a Powerglide trans as well, but that was with an Atlas. The stuff I've been climbing lately, an auto would make easier and less dangerous when I don't make it.

Any constructive advice would be appreicated. Let me know.

Toyota makes an auto for the 22RE, so it should bolt to the 22R. Not sure on the electronics though.

Just my $.02.

My FSM manual has diagrams showing a 22R carb with a dashpot for an auto trans.

Inchworm Gear sells an adapter to run a late model automatic to the early, geardrive T-case. This should do the trick!

They also have an adaptor to use your tranny and t-case with gear drive cases. Look a little farther down the page.
