ARB Bumper Q: will Tacoma fit 1st gen runner
Hi Guys,
I was at the scrap yard today and this old ARB Bumper jumped out at me. A little investigation reveals its fits a 95-04 Tacoma Part# 3423020, problem is I have an '87 4runner. I can probably pick this thing up real cheap, like under $200. Obviously with enough cutting and welding anything is possible but was wondering if anyone had done this, or know if the actual bumper is bigger/smaller, basically will it fit?
I did some quick measurements at the yard and the bumper is about 65" in length and about 29" between the point where it mounts (tow hooks), its about 25" on my '87 4runner. I was planning on fabbing some sort of mount to go inside the bumper to fit it to my truck. Maybe someone could someone do a quick measure on their 86-94 bumper for me , I'll be your best friens
Any help, ideas, questions, queries, comments would be awesome.
Also what does a used ARB in very good condition go for? Would it be worth picking it up to sell at this price if it doesn't work out for me.
Thanks Guys, Yotatech Rules .

I'm guessing no.
No it won't fit without A LOT of work (as you have already determined, the Tacoma frame is wider)
No, nobody has ever tried it before. You would be the first!
The YES is that you could probably easily sell it for more than 200. Check Craigslist in your area to see what they go for used.
