another tube rear bumper.. trail gear rip off

Bloody tricky ol job!! But I did do my usual trick of over complicating things.
My initial plan of action was to rip off the trail gear bumper, which essentially it still is I guess.. Just tweaked.

Mega chuffed with it.. Still need to triangulate behind the hitch and tie in the side returns to the chassis so they can take a hit without folding

That's slick! Looks pretty original to me. I love the way it twists around the corner. Great work!

I think it looks better than the TG bumper! Good job.

I'd personally choose to add a piece of tube in place of that thin tie-in on the ends though, for extra strength. It's one of the first places that'll hit when turning around a tree. Don't forget to tie those sides in to the frame when you're triangulating your receiver, but I'm sure you already know this.

Nice one. I didn't know you had multiple threads. You should throw this in your build thread.

Looks good and solid. I like the idea of using tubes for the bumper.

5 years later:

It looks amazing. Love the coloring as well. Are you selling them? My stock one is rusty and I need a fresh look. Prefer yours to the trail gear one !
