ok got it all mocked and mounted up. Note to self measure twice cut once. (I'll see if anyone can point it out.) My guess is it will be 92TOY and his OCD. lol)

Anyway

Got the angle parts of the bracket drilled out for the tube on both sides:

This shows the clearance of the bolts:

To make it easier to put the nuts and stuff on I flipped it over and used som tape for the nuts:

Angle brackets mocked up ready to hang.

Since this thing is rather heavy (about 50lbs) I had my 4 year old hold a washer and bolt for each sid as I layed on my back to lift it into place. WHen one of the holes lined up on each side she put in the bolts for me. Sorry no photos as it's only me and her at home right now.

This is how it looks mocked up

Other side looks the same:

Time for me to bob the bed now as it overhangs the new bumper. THen I will take the bumper off and paint it up.

yeah I know, but I got to get a decent grinding/wire wheel for it. I've painted/undercoated that many times already, but not the right way. lol. POR15 is a little pricey, I'd love to use that, but.

On a side note, my tile pipe looks like a rock/log/bush magnet now. Gonna have to do something about that now too.

Nice work so far! You gotta get rid of that low hanging tail pipe though.

(really surprised this isn't at 10 pages right now)

yeah I already addressed that, Kinda ticks me off since it wasn't where I wanted it from the beginning, but that's what I get for using a lazy exhaust shop.

I love a good bumper build, especially since you're working with hand tools and on a budget, cause thats how most of us have to do it. Just a little every weekend is all it takes.

Hey X, ...my neighbor said "We can build ANYTHING, Mark....whatchu trying to do?" I showed him the TrailGear/WabFab style rear one, ......he said, ...."HAHAHAHAHA" , lol, literally. Then he said, "Hmmmmm, I suppose that guy would give you the specs, and you can do all the bending, ....I can weld it up, ....maybeeeeee, we'll see, I'm just 'SO BUSY' ", just like I said, hahaha. He's a great guy, helped me alot. ....so we'll see, indeed!

Sorry, not highjacking, just excited for ya and ME 2, haha. If not, I'll just buy the WabFab-style, ...i REALLY like it, big time.

hahaha, still working out how to mount the lights, lic. plate etc etc. I think I got the lights done for now and gonna probably just hack up some plywood for a makeshift tailgate.

I still have not painted it yet. As I am waiting till I get at least my shackle eyelets ordered and welded on. Also gonna have to figure out what I am gonna do for a receiver tube. But not really worried about that. I wanna work on the shackles first. Gonna need them in a little more than a week maybe.
