I put the 3" body lift on my truck and everything worked out fine. But now I can't get my 4X4 shifter to operate correctly. I had to weld an extension in the stick, and now I can't get it to stay in 4HI and can barely get it pulled back and over to 4LO. As a matter of fact I had to pull on it so hard I actually broke the bottom weld on the extension section of the stick.

I'm just curious to find out what the hell i can do to make the shifter operate more smoothly. Someone please help.

hey walker, where you at in ky? you may be able to cut your shifter, sleeve it (to make it longer) and weld it back together. i did my body lift (2inch) and just had to trim the boot a little on the transfer shifter
