86 vs 89 bed alignment

86 vs 89 bed alignment

I have a 86 pickup and was wondering if a 89 bed side would line up and match up with the cab.. Or if anyone knows where to find 86 bed panels that would would great, thanks for time..

89 pickup should be the next body style so probably won't line up perfect. On way to tell if it's close is to measure the difference between your 2nd gen and a 3rd gen. Body mounting points and distances from various points to mounting points (corners, center, ect)

I have seen the beds swapped between the two different generations. The 84-88 center body line basically sticks out and the 89-95 dips in. Some like it the looks of them that way some dont. Slacker sells https://www.yotatech.com/forums/f229...siness-287692/ bed panels and is the only place I know of now that has them.
