81 Flatbed Build

Moving this over from the buildup section. Started my flatbed this past weekend.

Got the deck in and got rid of the I-Beam chin catcher that the previous owner installed.

I've always thought of that I-beam chin catcher more as a knee smasher. Looks much better without, and nice work all-around!

Great job! When can I order a few? Will the receiver still attach to the frame, or will I go into the bed? And if so, what's the tow rating. Sorry for all the questions Kevin but that thing is nice

haha if I had the time! The receiver is welded to the 4" C channel across the back. I extended the frame about 9 inches. I'd say the hitch will hold whatever the truck can pull.

Looks great! I'm a fan of breaking up the straight back look as you did with the rails. Your stepdowns are a negative effect to mine.😎 Then I went and made another change and have this now for uptravel clearance.
