1996 SAS Finished ...
Hey everyone,
Well after 1 week of grinding waiting for parts to come in, I have finished my SAS!
I will post more pictures here once the truck is cleaned up some.

This tuesday coming up, I am going to add a johnny join to my steering shaft. I am going to take 44runners advise to make it more stable before it turns into a problem down the road.
Well thats it for now

Congrats on finishing it. I know that is the coolest feeling ever.
BruceTS is actually the one that suggested the johnny joint. I would just redo it, wouldn't take that much more time really and isn't a bandaid fix. You have to remove the shaft anyways to get the JJ on there...

I'm glad you decided to fix your steering....
Looks good!
Like I said I've used Heim joints in many project vehicles, the NASCAR team I used to wrench on used them exclusively on the steering system, so they are quite strong and can take the abuse.

Rock on!!!
I absolutely love seeing all you guys doing the BIG mods to your trucks. I see you are in Roseville so I guess there is a good chance of seeing that out on the Con this year!?
Good job
