Actually the Dealer I oredered it through wants me to bring it by on one of their week end sales events when it's done. But the look on their faces when it's done is surely going to be priceless.

 

That will be funny to watch.

 

Loan company had $5,000 invested in it. By September when it's done it'll be completely paid off. Not too worried about insurance either since it's covered under a specialty policy through my construction company.

 

Will be interested to see some photos that are more than just the guy with the cutting torch.

Landscape construction. We build sport complexes using artificial turf and we do large comercial projects.

i am not saying that a finance company would condone this, but there isn't anything contractually to prevent it either.

from a finance company's perspective the purcahser is still liable for the full contractual amount. most repos are sold at wholesale auctions anyway and leave enormous deficiency balances. the finance company generally isn't going to be the one loosing out when a vehicle brings $1 at an auction instead of $10,000, it just may take more time and effort to recover the balance. but when you figure that a vehicle is repo'd and it is only going to bring half of what is owed on it at auction you are going to have to go through the same process to collect was is due regardless.
