and have tried a number of things to get them back into place but no dice. The only thing I haven't done yet is take them to a metal fab shop and see if they can bend them back.

Do you guys know of a shop over in the Phoenix area that could possible bend them back? If not I'm going to see if I can them back to Bud to see if he could help me sell them and just get a new set.

 

Mine is actually bent up further than that, more of a V. I'm about *this* close to buying a 20 ton press since I've needed one for a few other things, pretty sure that would take care of the bent skids too.

Seems kind of pointless to me to sell something like skid plates that are bent up and then spend more money to buy new ones that will most likely get bent up again. Are they currently causing you some problems somewhere? Is that why then need to be bent back out? They don't even look that bad.

Did you try driving over them? Raise it up a bit around the area that's bent to give the metal a place to go.

 

Front skid it's lost the angle (tried to adjust the front holes but to dice), the belly skid is the goof one (driven over it and flip it over, bolted it up and try to use the jack to get it back into place no workie).

That's why I looking somewhere that can bend them back. The front one I can probable get it's just the belly skid thats more of the problem.

 

Does seem like the damage is minimal. After seeing the abuse Jon has laid down on his I am sold as to the benefits and design of the BudBuilt products.

That said...

...what about getting a hold of Bud... maybe he has some tips or tricks for repair?

Worst case, maybe he'll give you a discount of sorts on a new skid.
