Lance, Jim, Jim, Steve, Brian and everyone. The Sara and I had a great time out on BTR with you. A better group of offroad companions couldn't be found. Hope you'll have us back on the trail with you again sometime. We got hundreds of 4runner action shots on this trail. I've got them all uploaded full size to my Webshots site. You are all welcome to download as you see fit. Again, what a great day and thanks!

Great pics Jake, it was nice to finally wheel with you. We'll have to get together somewhere in NM this summer. If you are ever up here, there's a cool little trail in Santa Fe that you would enjoy as well as the old faithful Rio Puerco near Rio Rancho.

Pics look great guys!

Sucks about the rollover, Brian, but I'm glad no one was hurt too terribly.

Wish I had known about this, though, I'm not sure I could afford the gas out there.

Yes the roll over sucked, but that is why I wheel that truck and not my daily driver. If you do this activity long enough, it's bound to happen to you. I think Moab has it in for me. The roll cage not only saved the asses of myself and my passenger, but also the truck from further damage. I cannot recommend them enough if you wheel your truck. Thanks to everyone that assisted me in getting it road worthy. Over the next few weeks or months, I'll pull it apart, see the extent of the damage in the front, and determine if I'm going to stick with the body or not.

Since nobody's bitched yet about the job I did leading on any of the days I guess it's safe to post. I had a really great time and trust everybody else did as well, excepting the damage incurred by more than a few in our group. I'm going to attempt to post some of Scott's pictures from Behind The Rocks. Hopefully I've got enough posts for the system to allow it. Since these are some of my favorites there are more of me than anybody else......I guess that's the advantage of doing the work to post them up.

Thanks for the heads-up...the last time I checked Bill hadn't posted the BTR pics yet.

Jim, I’ll be in ABQ in the next month for work leaving a weekend open . Puerco or Santa Fe (Tank Trap?) sound good to me. Just let me know when you will be free.

Nice shots Jimmy. No complaints here on leading the group, I appreciated it. I had never wheeled with an FJ, or at least one with an experienced driver. Very capable.

Would anyone be interested in a Las Cruces, NM run? Mid-Late Fall when things cool off the weather is excellent.

Trail Info: http://www.lascrucesfourwheeldriveclub.com/

Trip Distances to Cruces:
Dallas 9hrs
Phoenix 5hrs
Denver 8hrs
Tucson 3.5hrs
ABQ 3hrs

HERE'S a video of me, Scott and Steve coming down White Knuckle Hill (on Behind The Rocks). It's a very large file size so it's going to take some time to load, even if you're on a fast connection. It's also in QuickTime format, which will only be a problem with Windows users that don't have it installed, which is easily remedied since it's a free download from Apple. The one thing you'll notice is the higher clearance and longer wheelbase on Steve's 4 Runner makes it much easier to get down the last drop since the tires stay in contact much longer.

Cool video.

I always thought the obstacle itself was the last section. Looks like the entry and the top half were equally difficult if not more so.

Great video Jim, and music to go along with it.
I saved the video to my PC before work, and just now watched it.

This would be a good video for the IFS thread floating around here too.

I should probably mention that the reason Jim and Lance aren't in the video is that Bill, our esteemed photographer, somehow overlooked charging the battery in the video camera and only got the three of us before it died.
