Is the AZ crew considering Wednesday and Sunday as pure travel/non wheeling days? I’m planning on leaving NM Tuesday night for some Wednesday action. Trip home (Sunday/Monday) I’m going through Telluride/Ouray if anyone’s interested in going over the pass.

We probably won't get into Moab until sometime around 5-6 PM on Wednesday. I'm not sure when others are planning on getting there. Wheel Thur, Fri, and Sat, and then drive home Sunday. I have family coming into town that weekend, so I plan to head home pretty early Sunday morning. Someday I would really like to head up to the Telluride/Ouray area, but not this trip. Where are you staying in Moab?

I I just got off the phone with the San Juan Forest Service in regards to high elevation road conditions. The guy gave a good laugh when I asked about driving Imogene Pass late May. Seems the snow will be around a few more months before anything is open. I’ll figure a new lower elevation route back through CO/Northern NM.

I reserved a cabin at the Lazy Lizard Hostel after reading a few good reviews. I couldn’t pass up the price. I’ll just have to act like the gas guzzler in front of my cabin isn’t mine.

sounds good, but i saw that you guys are traveling there wednesday evening and i gotta work that day and i wouldnt be able to leave till about 5pm so i would be getting there pretty late. i might just go ahead and wheel whatever my truck can handle. which trails out of the 3 do you think is doable for my taco?

Yeah but Behind the Rocks might be a bit sporty.

Ya, from my understanding, "Behind the Rocks" is definitely a difficult trail. Sounds like White Knuckle Hill is a fun one. Better strap in boys.

I have an open seat if you want to ride along on any trails. You should definitely be okay on both Golden Spike and Moab Rim. Should you decide not to drive Behind the Rocks, you can hitch a ride.

No sorry, I took the back seat out. That's where my spare rides now. Between Lance, Jim, and others, I think there should be enough seats.

We are staying at the Silver Sage, we usually go to the Brewery the first night.

Just come by the sage or call on your cell phone.

Maybe the order Steve had in his first post...maybe a bit different. We'll probably make the final decision for Thursday when everybody gets in tonight.
