Any possiblities of an open seat?

 

If I don't have a kid, you can ride with me. I will not know for sure on that for a bit yet.

 

Hey guys! I might be up for this run... finally got the ARB working and I'm stoked about giving it a real test but I'll have the GF in town that weekend and Duncan's been trying to lay low lately. We'll see how things pan out though!

Hey everyone, I am in the area and interested in going. I am just a noob and my new MINT 86 4runner only has a 4" lift, 4:88 gears, and lockers, so it's probably not as nice as most of your trucks. May I tag along?

 

You are welcome to join us...your vehicle should do fine with that setup. Come on out

 

If it's MINT, then it's probably a lot nicer (in looks) than most of our trucks. Just remember, there are a few sections on Martinez where it's possible to get body damage. If that matters to you.

 

I would like to go but I really do not want to damage the body. It is mint and only has to door dings. I usually like the mud, snow, and sand. But I am not really into rock climbing. What is the terrain like out there? I would still like to go but not sure if I can go all the way back in where climbing over rocks is required.

 

Both of these are Rock Crawling trails. That is pretty much most of what we do. Ok, that is pretty much all we do.

Also, I predict this weekend will be the return of the mighty ELVOTA.

 

Keep in mind as well that most of those reports/photos are of the hardest lines at both trails too.

Any word if Tim will be around town that weekend to join? I know he is on a motorcycle tour somewhere in CA.

Elvis is do able if you take the by passes and have some good spotters/good CB comm. . I did Elvis in my 4runner which is mostly stock with very little problems.

 

I'm wondering with the heat if it would be better to start a little earlier. Especially for those of us without A/C. Anyone else think so? Meet around 7AM maybe?

Shouldn't matter to you. You're up at like 5am anyway. Plus I have the longest drive (unless T comes) to get to the gas station (West Siiiiiiiiiiiiiide).
