Dirty, Terminator and Predator 10/4

Over the weekend I ran a few trails with some Jeep buddies. Jon rode along with me and we had a good time up at Table Mesa. The plan was to just take it easy...well once we hit Lower Terminator we couldn't pass up all the optional lines. Good times. You know when someone straps on the helmet they arent messing around.

No carnage, just some near flops and some new character added to my truck.

Anyway, here's the photos.

We ran Dirty Sanchez, LT and Predator

Since I had the 'bus' I was nominated to go this route


























No photos from Predator...here is one from another trail though. We watched a few buggies run this waterfall. Thats a 42" tire about 4' feet off the ground.

That looks very, very large!!!!



Nice job on White Line.... I'd be interested too see the magic tire placement.

Notice I said "see" and not "feel".

That climb was very steep, I could feel the front end get very light at one point when my tires started to struggle for grip. It wasnt quite as tall as Widow Maker or the big fall at Axle Alley though.

I was real hesitant to run White line. I can say now that its not nearly as bad as it looks. You can see the line in the photos that my truck and the Jeep took. Aim for that tall rock right at the white line, then turn back down slowly as you come forward.

I was noticing that in the pics that you guys are much higher up on the rocks than when we were out there. IIRC we only lined up Steve's buggy and then only as far to the passenger side as we could get. At first it seems counterintuitive to go higher on the obstacle, but in doing so, you get your pass tire up more and have less off camber to deal with. Nice job.

So nobody is going to bust my chops for using "counterintuitive" in a wheeling thread? At this rate we'll be saying things like verbosity, indubitably, and geminate. Jeez...

Indubitably, there was much verbosity amongst the fellows, regarding my plan to geminate transfer cases.

I was not too excited about running white line but after watching others pass through uneventfully I was convinced it was OK. Its one of those off camber lines that can look scary if you run the wrong line and re arrange sheet metal rather quick.

The raisin look is easily obtained on any of these trails if you aren't careful.
