I know I'm not Colorado but Cheyenne is only 8 miles from the border. I'd be down.

This is actually something I was heading up a few years ago. There was tons of interest, but nobody was interested in following through. So, I pulled the plug.
I'd be more than happy to help a little. I won't be able to devote a whole lot of time to it, though.

Let me know!

I agree with AxleIke, a larger area would increase interest

im trying to do that with the SouthEast with a 4roc instead of South carolina since we dont have nearly enough people.

Hopefully I'll be going to CSU and I can help out with my region and this region

Sounds fun to me. Nothing like getting together with a bunch of 4runner folk for some good times.

That's why I lost interest last time.

I think for now, if we start small, we'll be fine. Everything has to start someplace. TTORA was small once.

What is the purpose? Seriously, I don't get what the function of this group would be.

dont be a debbie downer about it!

yes, it takes time, but if you build it, they will come!

i started with a group of probably 5-8 people, but i started NE4ROC anyway. just keep pushing it, get as many locals to join as possible, hold cool events for people of all levels, and be an example, and people will follow.

the NE4ROC board merged in TTORA-NE, and we have 263 members right now, and i started NE4ROC in June of 05.

if i can be of any help, ric, let me know

Just wondering - if you guys really want to join a club with rules and dues and officers, etc., why not join one that is already well established and doing lots of work for OHV use in Colorado...

Just a thought...

i really like what TrailDamage has done, its a private club, but yet, they share all the info. about the trails, rating, directions, and pics.
Ric and I have been chatting about this through PMs. We'd start out small. Dues would be minimal at first (probably no more than $10, if even that). But, those dues would include a decal to display proudly where ever you see fit and meet-n-greets with BBQ, etc.

I'm willing to create a website with it's own domain using my own web hosting and bandwidth where we can post trail runs, news, calendar, etc.

The idea is to keep it as simple as possible initially. There will be rules for trail runs, etc. As it grows (if it grows), well, we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

As I said before, there was a lot of demand a few years ago. Then, when we started moving, nobody wanted to do anything. There were twelve members. I'd setup trail runs, and nobody would show. I'd setup get-togethers weeks in advance, and absolutely nobody would show. So, after about 7 months, I said "f*** it" and flushed it. I posted here that I was pulling the plug and anybody interested in keeping it going should step up. Nobody stepped up.
So, we will start out small and simple...just like TTORA...just like Rising Sun...just like YotaTech, etc.
