LED 'plug-n-play' Bulbs for '96-05 4Runner !

Hi Folks,

For those of you who want to re-lamp your 4R's exterior bulbs to LED, please click on the following logo or image to go to our 4Runner-dedicated page:

I plan to run this for around 3 weeks (Mar 15th until Apr 5th), accumulate your orders, and then order from my vendor and begin delivery in the 2nd week of Apr. Prices on the above page are lower than our regular MSRP. If you have questions or comments, email me from our site or PM me here.

FYI, this thread started it all.

Thank you.

Edward

For some reason I am not seeing the image/logo to click on. Am I missing something?

Never mind. It was my settings. Got it now.

Glad that you figured it out. Folks, if you can't see the logo/image on the 1st thread, please temporarily switch off your anti-ad / anti-popup settings. I also need to shut down my Zone Alarm Pro completely before the images show.

found via search. I see how old it is... my question is the rear dual filament bulb

E11 HR 2AP
12V W21/5V

this is the bottom of 3 tail light bulbs on a 99 4Runner. I am wanting to go to LEDs for all 3 bulbs. The other 2 are "94U" so I see those on VLEDS website. Not sure if I can go LED for a dual filament bulb replacement, can I?

I think I found it on post #23 of this thread...

7443 bulb I believe it is-but not marked as such on the bulb itself...

Angry LED problems

I searched out the brightest LED's. To make flasher work I added the resistors. There was a buzz on my radio when the flashers flashed. I removed the resistors and bought the electronic flasher. The buzz is still there and it also does it when I have the brake lights applied. The tail lights look OK but the light output is not as bright as the incandescent bulb. In the country this may be OK but I would not be driving in a city where ambient light obscures the taillight. It seems that if the taillight was not designed from the ground up for LED's, Their use is limited. Perhaps future improvements will change this but at 18.00 a bulb for good ones, it is a bit expensive. Other than the dome light, you will be disappointed. Sorry for the rain on your parade.

that is good info abeartede and most appreciated that you shared it to prevent others having similar issues.

I bought some cheapie LED bulbs and they never did work properly without throwing the ABS light. I will be sticking to regular bulbs from here on out.

LED's noise

I plan to try to change the size of the capacitor which is in my radio circuit to see if that is related to the problem. If I resolve the problem I will post the solution.
