Inbound weather

Guys and Gals-

On a serious note. All of us w/ our more than capable 4WD vehicles need to be on our toes for this hurricane that is inbound and tracking directly for us. Raleigh is estimated to be 60 miles outside of the eye... that's just about the WORST part we can be in... Great, right? I fully plan on being out in it and after it to help whoever needs it, be it stuck vehicles or removing/moving downed trees. Let's all contribute to our communities in what is sure to be a big time of need. Remember to be safe, especially when extracting or removing vehicles and people. Best of luck to all!

Toyo-

Ha ha ha... I never did answer your question about that thing... here goes:

Stock block, but checked out and tweeked by Powerhouse Racing.. lower-compression pistons, HKS cams, sleeved, extrude-honed head and intake, 3.5" downpipe, mid-pipe, HKS Ti exhaust, Motec M48 stand-alone, Aquamist water injection, Greddy T-88 turbo, HKS wastegate, Turbo-XS BOV, and a Spearco mounted up front w/ a water mist system. That's about it for HP mods... it's got a few suspension tweeks here and there as well.

I lived in So.Fla. during Andrew. The big problem with vehicles after the hurricaine was flat tires from debris so get a plug kit.
Stay indoors until after the storm. Who will rescue you? You will be more useful afterwards. With any luck it will not be that bad.

All's well here in High Point, Greensboro. It's still really really windy and rainy. Alot more than they were calling for, but not all that bad when it comes to damage, a few trees down, and spotty power outages. Nothing like Hurricane Andrew when I was 13 or so. Now that was a HURRICANE .

Hope everyone there in Raliegh is okay, Jason if you have any cool rescue stories let us know.

We got hammered!! My employer is a cold-hearted b***ard so I had to go to work today. It looked like a total war zone on the way in - trees down, power lines in the road. I think they said a total of 4 million people are without power. We lost ours yesterday around 2:30 pm. We still have water thank God. I didn't take any substantial damage but my parents and my brother both had trees fall on their houses. I'll probably leave here and go help them out. Hope everyone else affected made it through ok.

Couple o' downed trees ( watched one fall on 40 while driving ) bunch o' people w/o power... (my parents are down for approximately a week... gotta take em' a generator) lot's of water everywhere, some flooding, but everybody's ok, and no serious injuries! Hooray! A few of my friends did wreck their cars though... I had to ask them what the hell they were doing driving around in the middle of Tropical Storm winds... geez... like those people that were at the beach watching the hurricane come in... I call it natural selection at it's finest!

That my friends is the typcial Land Rover owner, they think just b/c "They are the world most taveled vehicle" that they can just go anywhere and do anything. That's why Rover makes them full time 4WD b/c they know most of their owners don't know that a T-case is let alone how to operate one. But neither do I, those things are confusing as hell .

Glad to know everythings okay with you guys there in Raleigh, glad to hear that Jason didn't add another "custom mod" to his rig.

Hey guys, we lost power for 24 hours during the storm and a few limbs, nothing big. Areas close to the Nuese river and Pamlico Sound got flooded real bad. Storm surge was a record 8.5 feet for the area. Some people lost everything from the flooding. Just glad it was only a cat.2 and not stronger.

Glad to hear everyone is ok, we didn't get a lick of the storm down here. They originally predicted the eye to pass over my neck of the woods, but we didn't even get a rainy day. Glad to hear everyones ok though
