Fall Colors Ride

Ok guys, Fall is definitely upon us, as evidenced by the rather cool weather we've been having... that means the leaves will be changing within a matter of weeks... FALL COLORS!

I know that 4x4wire is planning several runs on the east coast. Let's decide whether or not we're going to run w/ them or strike out on our own! I vote for Tellico, b/c the mountains of NC are striking! I'm an avid photographer as well, so I love that location. Tellico has everything from class 1 trails to trails I would never think of running w/ out an exo-cage. So throw out your ideas, thoughts, dirty jokes... let's get the ball rolling of this one, along w/ our next Uhwarrie trip... Oh, and if anyone's up for it, check my next thread!

Ok... STUMP needs at least three weeks notice, Morgan needs two, and I need one... the clock is ticking people! So many trails, so little time! Let's hear some feedback!

I would like to make it a run to Tellico durring the fall but just make it the 4ROC group. I don't know exactly what Fall Colors is, is it just a Toyota thing, is it really large, what exactly is it, I think I know but I would like to be sure. Either way I really likethe idea o just a 4ROC run to Tellico during the fall. Less traffic and easier going ppl than if it were large.

" Fall colors " is just the phrase we gave the ride b/c the main purpose for going is to view the spectacular fall colors in the mountains... they make for spectacular photographs and some amazing views... nature's fireworks, if you will...

4Roc would probably do the trip themselves, seeing as the 4x4Wire run is seperate from our planning... I hadn't really planned on going w/ them, just stole their phrase. It really is a spectacular sight... people from all over the country show up in the Blue Ridge Mountains, just to see all the colors..

yea those stupid a$$ flor-idiot's thats why i was late to class everyday -- they drive 10mph and pullover in the middle of the road to take a pic of a damn tree. i just wanna smack those white haired fools who think they rule the High Country just b/c they have a house in Linville Ridge -- man ill 4wheel thru their yard -- know peeps so i can get thru the gate. but thats not as bad as those FOCKERS who what to get away so they go to their secluded mtn home at SUGAR TOP -- yea way to really FOCK up the view for every single person who looks toward sugar mtn or grandfather from banner elk & beach mtn. talk about a good place for a terrist attact cause they cant rebuild if it goes down.

I had my share of blue haired floridians working out at lake lure and living in asheville. Thanks to them, I have no problem getting 2ft from the bumper. Having a tjm doesn't help my road rage either... I mean, who cares if I rearend them, its them that are going to be getting their rearend rearranged, not me Oh well, Sounds like a good idea... the fall colors thing. Wish I could go with you! I'm down in the armpit of the us. And yeah, its that hot and humid

Sorry to hear about your weather down there Turbo, your missing out it's be wonderful here since the warrie run, since that weekend it's been nthing but 70s for highs an 50s in the monings. .

Jason, thanks for answering my questions about the ride. I was pretty sure that is was just a name, b/c I was oringinally into 4x4 wire before I found yotatech . So if were planning on doing this in October, mid october is what it's looking like, then lets get some dates flying. I really liked how it was at Uwharrie where we ran into other groups but none that really slowed us down or vise versa. I figure any weekend in the fall is going to be packed so there' not much that can be done, it's all luck. My Oct. i clear as a bell right now,so those of you who lready have plan yall tell s a datethat works the best for you and we'll go from there.

October is cool but there is the UAW GM 500 at Charlotte Motorspeedway on the 11th and the Petit LeMans at Road Atlanta on the 18th. I'd rather not miss these races but I will. Just let me know.
