Hey sam, you should try to get the guy with the like what... 38"s on his first gen trail rig that works at the 4x4 shop to go. That would be sweet if he was there to to give some tips and i'm sure he knows tellico like that back of his hand as they have a competition rig. Just a thought...

I'm really feeling young now, I'm still at leat 6 months away from being 21.

As for that dates, I'm wit Jeremy, I lke both of those weekends, that gives me plenty of time for work and pleny of time to get my axels fixed. Possibly get my black Runner sold so I don't have to worry about cleaning the Runner for my dad when I get back

Who knows I might beable to get some new shoes on my babay before then, man I better start working some over time.

Okay back onto the date of this ride. I say we go for the 24th, 25th, 26th weekend in Oct. I have a convert in the Raleigh area that my girlfriend has been asking me to go to for aout 3 months now, so I can't miss that. What does everyone else think.

Yeah your telling me, I usually catch all the mistakes, but with dial up I'm just to lazy to go back and fix them. Stupid faded out keyboard doesn't help my already bad typing.

But what do you think about the date for the ride, does that sound okay with you?

I certainly hope everyone else is, because I went ahead and put in for that weekend tonight at work. I needed to make dang sure it was 3 weeks in advance, they have started cracking down on that big time. If it's not cool w/ everyone let me know and I will switch wekeneds up if I can.

24th, 25th and 26th... Are these the OFFICIAL dates? If so we need to start looking at reservations and such.

Nothing is official, I took that time off assuming that would be a good time to go. Either way I have a free weekend out of the deal. So Jason if you agree with me on those being a good date for you then sure it's official. Then lets get jumping on reservations and time/places to meet, b/c you know it's gona take awhile to make sure everyone understands all the details, especially my slow a$$.

Jeremy does that give you time to get your SAS done, so that you can really ROCK TELLICO ?

What reservations will we need? Is there camping in the Natl' Forest?
I have my CB hooked up finally. I just have to mount the antenna somewhere. Removed my swaybars and replaced the tired old steering stabilizer. I will be installing low profile bumpstops shortly.
This is going to be a great trip.

ordering almost all of the axle stuff tommorow (friday) and planning on doing it this coming weekend, so yea if everything goes as planned i should be able to take it to tellico. only question marks left are a front driveshaft and re-gearing the front diff.

Tellico looks fun especially when the leafs are changing. It was 26 degrees in Banner Elk last night so those leaves won't be around too much longer

Ha Ha Ha .....whatever

Did you just buy a 96 runner or is that your girlfriend's truck?
Why did she/you take the OME suspension off and return it to stock?
Did you use a dyno to reference for your HP on those RX7s? I am guesing that that is bhp instead of hp at the wheels. What did you do to the motor to make the hp reliable?
Please post pics of the supra, both rx7s and the bikes so i can check them out.

Hyperlite-

Yeah right? Whadda ya mean? How old are you? As I said before, I'm 27.

1. I've had my 96' 4Runner since it was new. Ok, since it had 2000 miles on it...

2. I originally pulled the OME b/c I was going to sell it and she was going to purchase a newer 4Runner. After seeing what can happen to a rig, she opted for my older vehicle, stating that she'd much rather damage an older vehicle than a newer one. That didn't make me too terribly happy, but oh well. So now we've got an axle for it, and an ARB, sliders, lift, and so on...

3. Duh. Yes I used a Dynometer for the hp measurements. As Custom Cruiser pointed out, RWHP = Rear wheel horse power.
The motors are dowel pinned, and I'm using 3mm Ianetti Ceramic Racing Apex Seals. The porting is secret, but lets call it a " GT " port for all intensive purposes. Any more material removed ,and we'd have to call it a bridge port, but those don't last very long. The oil passages have been enlarged, and the housings have been micro-lapped and cryo-treated. The motor for the drag car runs only 115 VP race gas, and uses a T-88 @ 25psi and a 50 shot of NOS to spool the turbo to make that kind of power. The road car was using an Apexi' RX-6 turbo, but that didn't spool quickly enough, so we opted for the newer GT 35/40 turbo, w/ a ceramice ball bearing center section .I'm running a MOTEC M48 on the drag car and an M4 on the road car. Of couse, front mount intercoolers are the norm, and we're using Spearco cores and custom bending the piping. We're actually contemplating using a V-configuration for the radiator/IC setup in the road car. The Japanese GT cars seem to get good results from this. You can't get BHP (brake horsepower ) unless you pull the motor and check it on a brake dynanometer, ie. brake horsepower. The first dyno pulls were made @ our race shop in FL and the subsequent test pulls were made @ Turbo Tune in Greensboro.

4. I'd gladly post pics of them all... see my post about posting pics and you'll see what I'm having trouble doing, as well as what my 4Runner used to look like. Jeremy's seen the road car, and we're gonna get around to a fun run in the Supra as soon as we settle down from all the wrenching on the rigs.

By the way, I may have misunderstood the tone of your post. It came across like you were questioning me or calling me out. Or maybe it's just because I'm in a bad mood. Who knows. Please clarify.

Oh yeah... I sold the old OME stuff to a buddy of mine... Jeremy's seen his rig too... the road third gen is in my garage... he's seen that one too... Still got some parts left from it.. a Surco rack w/ some lights f/r, tail light guards, a 1st gen TRD S/C, and something that may interest you... a radiator. Stock, of course, but w/ metal tanks instead of plastic. It's not OEM, it's aftermarket, but it's still a stock replacement.

Oh, and I left out the cooling stuff on the 7's.

EVANS NPG coolant, 16psi radiator caps, Mazda Trix thermostats, and Fluidyne radiators. All that stuff and the fuel stuff use AN lines and fittings.

Speaking of fuel stuff...

800cc primaries and 1800 cc secondaries, all from RC Engineering. All controlled by the Motec's, w/ slightly more fuel delivery pumped in by modified Viper fuel pumps. No rising rate regulators here... they suck.

I/C's get water misted on them, but I'm still not sold on the idea of water injection, at least not in a rotary. My buddy John who bought my OME lift uses it on his third gen, but he's not too sure about it either.
