Dinner - This Friday Night?

The wife is working late, so if it's not raining I'm thinking of getting an outside table at Anita's Mexican Food in Chantilly this Friday night at 7:30 pm. I'll have the 4Runner parked near the road.

Stop by if you have nothing else to do.

I'll be at Bull Run on Thursday and I think runnerboy97 will be there too. Anyone else up for a shotgun shoot at 7:00 pm on Thursday night at Bull Run Shooting Center?

Actualy I may come out and do that, might have to trade it for friday, my GF may have made plans for our weekend, and they're actually pretty cool. I must say I'm not a big shooter though...

BTW the site is really looking cool if I may say so myself, went through my archives and found a graphics combo that makes the red theme look like night vision. Really digging it. Have to stop playing with it or will fail my test.

When it comes to shooting clays, I'm not the best. It's alot of fun and you just might surprise yourself on how well you do. If needed, shotguns can be rented for under $8 I think and cheap ammo can be purchased there too.

This is very true. I took a friend of mine out there last summer. He had never fired a shotgun and had only fired handguns the one time I took him to the range (no rifle experience at all). With about 5 minutes worth of instruction on how to load, point, and hold the gun, he was ready. He broke 17/25 his first time out. Not too shabby in my opinion...

The boot isn't torn is it?

Just to let you guys know, we're planning to grab dinner after shooting. It will be something local to that area.

Maybe bring the lap top on both nights. I'll bring some of the draft club info forms for us to fill out and add info to the website. I'll also have a camera on Thursday and Friday to take pics of our rigs.

And we don't know what we look like either, unless we all gravitate toward the trucks in the parking lot...

Sweeeet... We're off to a good start. BTW any pics taken at night or graphics with black backgrounds will really work well with the site.

I'm assuming you know how to get to the shooting center...

Let's just meet in the parking lot. I'll be driving a 97 4Runner (Desert Dune) with a Manik brush guard and hella lights. One of the guys we're meeting from www.thehighroad.org will be wearing a green TFL Alumni shirt and red Cincinatti ball cap.

Let's try to get there a few minutes prior to 7pm so us Toyota guys can check out each others rides without holding up the other "gun" guys too much

To reach Bull Run, take I-66 to Exit 52 (Route 29) at Centreville, drive 2 miles south, turn left onto Bull Run Post Office Road and follow the signs to the park entrance.

The parking lot at Bull Run isn't that big, so finding the other 4Runners won't be a problem. I'll be there early, 6:15 or 6:30, to get some shots in.

I suggest parking on the left side as you enter the parking lot. You can then back your 4Runner up into the parking spot and unload while facing the skeet/trap fields.

If I don't have my "The Firing Line" t-shirt on with "Roadrunner" along the back, I'll probably have some sort of scuba diving related t-shirt on with a Dive Rite cap.

I'll send my cellphone number to you guys via PM just in case someone runs into any problems getting to Bull Run.
