I don't recall exactly, but I think it was half-ish. I would definitely ask Cliff tho since that may have changed.

You can see the photos on my swap by going to the 2012 timeline and clicking on the Michel's 88 4runner 3.4 swap

I wanna thank Nathan for dropping by yesterday and giving me some much needed counsel on my predicament. I have decided to go with the 3rz swap. I'm going to see how much money I can get together and from there I will decide whether to go with the newly re-manufactured 2.7 or a used. I am leaning towards going with the used however simply because these engines are great and can easily see 300k. I really wish I could find more people who have gone through NW Team Yota however. I would really like some testimonials.

Glad I could help out. I know how stressful it is to have your wheeler/daily driver suddenly break. After talking to you yesterday I went home and switched my front and rear diffs to avoid a catastrophic failure that was sounding immanent. I was up till 1am but I had a nice quiet ride into work this morning.

Did you happen to drain them and see if you had gotten water from Walker in there? I would bet a pretty penny that is what is happening brother. Would be a good time to switch over to this stuff while you are at it:

Amazon.com: Red Line 58205 Heavy ShockProof Gear Oil - 1 Gallon: Automotive Amazon.com: Red Line 58205 Heavy ShockProof Gear Oil - 1 Gallon: Automotive

I did look for water when I drained them and didn't see any. I refilled them with Lucas racing full synthetic.

Indeed

Looks like I will need to get a grease gun to do my drivelines. I asked the dealership to knock it out when I had it in the for the front diff/oil change, but I don't see any fresh grease on any of the fittings.

Did they charge you for it?

No fortunately, should have been part of the oil change. But I am inclined now to get a 12mm hex key so I can drain and fill my front diff since I am not confident they did that either.

Won't be an issue going forward as I typically do my own service, I just had them do it this time as I had a small time crunch.

Went to install a TG rear diff self-contained diff breather and found the PO has already extended it. Not sure where it ends up so will have to look more next time I am under it lol.

I'm sure this impacts the upcoming trip (not that I was gonna make that one hehe) or is that still a go?

If not, maybe we should a more local meeting, like a BBQ or something?

Yeah I obviously am not going to be able to go as my truck is out of the game right now. I haven't heard anyone who wants to go either so I suppose I will cancel the trip. I like the BBQ idea. I can't this weekend because I'm going to be taking my truck down south likely.

Understandable, let me know if you need help with anything. Will PM you my phone # just in case.

I would have love to have gone, just didn't think my rig was up for it hehe.

Yeah maybe we can go to a park or something if noone has a grill at their place lol (gave mine to my nephew in last move and haven't gotten around to replacing it).

Doesn't Tahuya have some good milder tralis? I'm pretty sure Walker does too, but I've only been on a couple of the gnarlier ones there.
