On an unrelated note, are those PIAA's that you have on your ARB driving or fog lights? I'm looking to get a set mounted, and am leaning towards some type of driving light at the moment.

The ones on the top of the ARB are PIAA 520 fog lamps. I am seldom driving fast enough or in a situation where I need a zillion candlpower thrown hundreds of yards ahead of me. On the trail, driving lights are practically useless because they are REALLY bright in the same area that the headlights already cover. So, I went with fogs to get lots of light with more spread than driving lights. That way they are still useful when I am putting along some trail and there is no point to 2500' of lighting because the trees are 30' in front of me
Driving lights make sense for rally or desert racing, but for my purposes, fogs were a better bet.
Either way, they are waaaaaay too bright to use on road legally, so it made sense to set them up for when I was going to be able to use them. I use the tiny 002x PIAA driving lights mounted down on my crossmember when I need additional light on road.

I STILL don't have my SAWs, and that's the hold-up. Mike's backordered 25 sets and SAW keeps promising a pallet "next week" - that's been going on ever since I ordered them.
sigh.
I talk to Mike about once a week, and he's been REAL good about keeping me in the loop. The problem is that it's just the same loop.
I dunno about the dunes run on stock suspension, I guess that's a question for Rob - Rob?
I think I have all the requirements for the run as posted on the sign-up page. Oh, I may need to hit GI Joes for a shovel though...

Mark,
A stock vehicle with a locker should be fine on the dunes. Its not like you're going to need much clearance or articulation climbing over piles of sands. I think driving on sand is just a way of testing your driving skills in a different way. Its all a matter of airing down the tires and going for it!

Yup, no problem. Are you going to be doing the swap soon? You can either schedule a 4ROC mod day, and get some help from us, or if your in a rush, just swing by my place and I'll hand them off.
