The trail ride portion went really well. We split into two groups and took off in different directions. The Bravada had some troubles with the rocks at the May Creek crossing, mostly as a result of it's "traction control" system thinking it was smarter than us. Otherwise, there was a lot of confidence building and everyone was grinning by the time we were done.

Gene was with the other half of the group, so he can fill you in on how it went with them.

Talking Have fun Kevin

Like I would have gone anyway but I will be working on my Runner tomorrow. I am picking up my new roof rack for $75,peeling the rest of those crappy factory decals off, getting out some rubbing compoud to work up my bisep muscles and getting that sticky decal goo off, waxing blue two times over, pulling my fan clutch off and seeing if the frikkin annoying noise goes away. Thats only $70 I dont want to spend but you know how it is. Then I am going to pull my wheels off to do blue paint jobs on my calipers and drums.

and oh, who's a stereo GURU here? i've been seriously thinking about getting some dynamats or some kind of sound-deadning device in search of LEXUS-QUIETNESS

Its a Con Ferr rack. I was told its made by a company out of Cali. It looks really cool. I checked the price from the company and he quoted me $250 for everything. So im saving alot by getting it for $75.

I'd love to, but I just can't. I'm thrashing too hard to get ready for my kids showing up on Friday.

They leave next Wednesday though, and I've got that night open (though I may be pretty wiped out... sigh)

hahah! No, I've just been really busy and it's been hard to find much time to do anything "fun". I've got a pile of PM's, posts here, and flat email to catch up on.

hahahahaha bought a tacoma. that was good.

if you're going to get dynamat do yourself a favor and get it off ebay. you'll save yourself a lot of money. i don't know about the third gens, but the second gens have factory sound deadening stuff, and i don't know how you would put it over it or take that off. you should do a search in the regular forum. but the dynamat does work pretty well. my friend did it on the bottom of his subaru and it really really cut down on the road noise.

I WILL be wheeling the night of the 20th. I have not yet decided where yet...

I have a new guy (not "new bie") who will be along with me and i may take him up Tinkham to the hill climb and a few other places unless something better comes along...

I can't on the 20th... My kids are leaving that afternoon and I'll be in a bar that evening recovering.

The 21st is out as well, I've had plans for a while with some folks to spend some quality time in a shooting range.

Sorry guys! We'll get back in sync soon!

Mark
