4ROC Midweek run, August 6th

Okay, this is going to be a mainly 4ROC run, may invite others who are interested. Main goal will be to explore fire service roads in the cascade area, so we probably won't get into anything too nasty. Who's up for it?

WEDNESDAY AUG. 6TH

I can do it the 6th or the 8th...

Since we're mixing calendar dates and days of the week, and then in another thread David seems to have missed a day , I wanted to post this up for clarity:
  • Tuesday is August 5th
  • Wednesday is August 6th
  • Thursday is August 7th
  • Friday is August 8th
Tuesday is the meeting at the ranger station in Naches. All are encouraged to come and show support (and to help restrain Rob). So far, Rob and I will be in Naches.

Wednesday is good for me.

Thursday is Summer Sanitarium (if anyone besides myself is going).

Friday is good for me.

Moi?!?! Just because I have now dedicated most of my waking hours to publicly humiliating the Forest Circus doesn't mean I need to be restrained. Just because I have more than a few choice words saved up for my good friends Mike and Randy, doesn't mean I am in need of restraint. And just because I have a good vocabulary and a habit of speaking my mind, it doesn't mean...

Hmmm...

Well...

Do you guys have it down what you will say? I wonder if they will only allow so many people making comments on the Jams subject to do so before they take CONTROL and do the "next subject please". I see them ignoring the Jam all that they can. I wish I could go! I have to work at 8pm that night. I can guarentee you my opinion would echo through their heads for days. I hope your opinions hit em hard! The meeting time and location should be passed along to Kiro,King, & Komo along with details of the neglect they damaged our plans with. Good luck you guys, I am proud some of us can attend their meeting.

Public Lands are supposed to be public allowing anyone to access them. The news agencies may see it in our eyes. A club of people that well in advance planned everything out and asked permission when they did not have to. The club follows the rules but are being punished for doing so. They will hear that many other groups larger than our group would have been, were allowed to hold their events without permits or harrassment. They will hear that fiftyfive vehicle owners/event attendees put many dollars into the vehicles and supplies to attend the event.
then they will hear how the Rangers told us two months after telling us "no permits needed" told us we need a permit 180 days prior to the event and that threats of federal fines would be isued if we attend. This is my long story short version of what the news agencies should hear. There are many more facts that should be brought to their attention.

FYI, my off-roading life has been superceeded by a last-minute-organized celebratory dinner for a friend. I won't be able to go on Wednesday.

Sorry all!

So,

At the moment, its going to be me, kevin+friend, Ricky, and Ray. The plan, as usual, will be to meet up off exit 42, Tinkham Rd., off I-90, at 7:00 PM. We're not going to be exploring Tinkham though, but will probably head across the highway and explore some other forest service roads and see what we can see. If I can nail down another area to go to before that, I'll let you know.

WHY mark WHY? well............i guess that's too bad....ne ways I'll be there. Hey guys guess what i found out? on my Brother's 97 RAV4 LE 5-spd(no he isnt gay) there is a Center Lock Diff button! I know it's car based but it's pretty amazing Toyota would put that option in such a dinky car. Maybe we can do a sand dune run next time and i can take this thing out. I know i know.... no one cares...but i cant help myself with random thoughts. stupid Ray..

We don't hold it against you Ray
But hey, does anyone know how far the exit from on 1-90 from the 405 junction??? Just curious, cause I know I can probably make it up to I-90 in about 45 minutes, but I am wondering how much extra time I should give myself?

i don't really know how far. um its past North Bend, but before the ski area. i don't know if that helps any. i try and give myself an hour from here in kirkland to get there, cause traffic through bellvue is always crap. i would say just give yourself an hour. we'll wait for you, maybe. and the speed limit goes up to 70 after issaquah (sp?)

405 is about exit 9, so exit 42 is about 33 miles East of that.

It's 60mph until Snoqualmie (Exit 25) then it goes up to 70mph.
