Front Shackle Brackets

There has been a lot of talk on Shackle Mounts for vehicle recovery. I put together a few of these. They fit great. All that is left is for me to bead blast them and paint them. Sorry for the muddy underside of the 4Runner, but I guess that just makes it a little cooler...

The brackets are made from a single piece of 1" x 6" cold rolled steel bar. They are plasma cut out in the jig and then milled flat on the mounting and bolting surfaces. Then deburred and blasted. The shackle pin hole is made for a 3/4" shackle (they have a 7/8" pin). The 3/4" shackles I found are here. They seem to be the best price and have a 4 3/4 Ton Load Limit
$6.34/each

I haven't painted them yet, but will this week. Being one solid piece, the bolts should give or the frame should bend before anything happens to the brackets.

Any feedback is appreciated.

You should notch the valance so it doesnt get screwed up when your strap hits it

Those look great, and are perfect for those who want to keep the stock bumper.

They're on the bottom of the page. I've made several sets and sold them so far. $65 unpainted and $70 painted.

I painted some silver which I think also look good with the silver shackles.

BTW, I know some have rear hitch mounted shackles, but is anyone interested in rear shackle mounts? There are places on either side of the trailer hitch, or can also be bolted on if you don't have a hitch.

moved to vendor section, you have multiple sets and the fab shop isn't the classified.

These will also fit a Tocoma. I would just grind a edge on the end of them to make sure they cleared the front bumper attachment that connects to the frame near there.

I have a primed set ready to be shipped if anyone wants a set. Let me know. Painting will be a couple days for it to be applied and dried well. They are shipped USPS Priority Flat Rate so they take about 2-3 days to get there in there in the US.
