What do you think about the Tabor 9.0 by Warn? Seems like it'd be a good price if the winch is good.

Has anyone found any place selling the M8000 for less than $590? Im really interested in getting this winch but would like to see if it can be found any cheaper. Will I need to purchase the mounting hardwear seperately for my T17 or is all that included?

Thanks

I'm looking at the Warn 9.0Rc for the buggy but I haven't seen pricing on it. I like the size and weight and the fact that it comes with sythetic and an aluminum hawse fairlead...
wow, that 9.0Rc is the coolist ever.
whats the price on one of those? i tried searching but couldnt find anyone who sells them yet.

I have a Harbor Freight 8000# winch. I works well. If you dont use it all the time its fine. It will be there when you or a buddy gets stuck. They are slower than crap, but it is better than being stuck. If you have the money try to get something else, but if you are a starving college student like me you have to get what you can afford. You also need to think about other mods that might prevent you from getting stuck (lockers). If you save some money on a winch you might be able to get a locker in the rear sooner.

That winch pretty much just came out. As I mentioned I have yet to see pricing on it yet. Keep in mind it can only hold 50' of rope. That might not be enough for some. The up sides are it comes with synthetic and the small size and light weight.

Another thing I am waiting to see pricing on are the rancho coilovers as I am looking at those for the buggy as well...

If you're patient you can find the m8000 for $500 or less, including shipping. Check ebay and check pirate vendor section often.

That is the winch I will be getting. I will be adding a synthetic line. I priced them from PORC in Georgia. Their prices are the cheapest around.

Yeah, I found a place online selling them for 500 including shipping, but the website looked a little hokey. PORC said they'd match the price and the free shipping. Ended up buying one local though.

I wish there was a local place I could give my $$$ to. The only local shop is more expensive than retial and less than willing to deal ever---no matter how much is spent.

I think I will watch Pirate for a minute and just contact PORC.
