The txr's are going obsolete, manufacured by goodyear sold under the multi-mile brand label. most of the other tires les sells are under cooper's
associated brands. some even kuhmo and hankook.
With the competition in tire pricing today everyone is trying to
sell these brands or associated brands as the best.
les schwab marks up most of there tires 70 %. way above the competition.
With online availability, additional import tire manufactures and major company buyouts the next few years will be interesting.
we sell alot of the same schwab tires under different brands for half the price and still make major profit. There parts are the same, batteries and shocks. We Tire factory, Do the same on our batteries, stickered as tire factory but manufactured by deka. oem to a couple vehicle's, harley-davidson and carquest.

I used to run these tires when my rig was stock. I definitely agree. These tires did great in the snow.

The TXR, under the Multi-Mile name has been replaced by the TXR II's. I just ordered some in the 285/75 variety and get them installed this Friday. The TXR II's have a more squared off tread and a sidewall that looks almost identical to the BFG A/T. Look for my picture post after they get installed. FWIW, the link to the new II's is here: http://www.tbcprivatebrands.com/mult...ine.asp?id=284. The picture doesn't do them justice either! They're nearly a M/T in appearance.

Post some pics and let us know how they do. I'm interested to see how they disperse water to avoid hydroplaning...
