Vac assist d44

SO I have the chance to get a running 98 wagoneer for $250.00 (long story)It's not in bad shape so I was planning on parting out everything except the axles. Unfortunetly it has a vac assist front axle. I see there are conversion kits that make it a cable set up for about $150.00 Is this a bad thing? I can probably make a fair amount of money parting this thing out. IS it ok to use these axles?
