Truck shakes???

Can anyone tell me a reason why my truck shakes after I got 35" tires on, they were balance 4 times and the tires have been rotated and still shakes when driving. i do have a 1" spacer but i got the best one available so was hoping this isn't my problem. I have not ran without the spacer since the new tires because tires rub the upper control arm. So before i go out and find another set of wheels to throw on to check without running spacers i was wondering if there were any other idea's?

Thanks

How was the balancing done (lug or hub centered)?

What kind of tires? If they're bias ply, you're probably gonna have to learn to live with it.

They are 35" goodyear MTR 6 ply and they were balanced all ways possible, my buddy works for the tire company and knows off road as well.

Well, were they balanced on a lug centered machine or adapter? And what sort of wheels, OEM or aftermarket? And was the radial runout checked on the mounted tires or were they road force balanced?

What company?

Try using BBs to balance them. I had a terrible time with my balancing (When I aired down the tire would spin on the wheel and become unbalanced) and I used the BB's and it is smoother than it has ever been before.

I got them done by my friend at America's tire who has been there for 10 years, we just thing we may have found the problem but won't know untill i get the new spacers in. We ordered all pro spacers that are hub centric and not universal lug centric like the billet ones I have. We think this could very well be the problem.

I had my F-350 tires balanced on the truck, so you balance the wheel, tire and hub all at once. Not many places do that type of balancing

check if it happens with or without hubs locked

QUESTION, if my wheels are a +2 offset would a 0 offset be better so that i wouldn't need a spacer? basically i am trying to get rid of the spacer but dont know if a - offset would be better than a + offset. I need my tires to get off my upper control arm!

The better way to figure out wheel dimensions is back spacing:

That will give you exactly the answer you are looking for, take your current back space measurement and subtract off the thickness of the spacer:

my lug nuts sit about an 1" or so back from the front part of my rim, i should need them to be more towards the back to get from needing my spacer correct?

Yes, less backspacing is what you need. And trivial to measure:

Read the relationship between back spacing and offset on the link below:
