From: raleigh, nc for school chapel hill, nc for home
4.88's would get you back to the same gear to tire ratio as stock. ARB offers front and rear air lockers. The RD 90 for the front, RD 111 for the rear.

Would 4.88 be good for 35" tires? I just read somewhere that 5.29 is good for 35"+

It really depends on what you're looking for. 4.88 will give you more highway mileage and 5.29 will give you more torque.

i hope you dont plan on wheelin the piss out of your runner with IFS, lockers front and rear and 35s .... or at least be prepared to get real good at swaping out CVs

488s have a wide range for tires i have a set of 488s and have used everywhere from 33s all the way to 39.5 so they should work the best for you

What would be my freeway speed with 5.29's and 35's, and will I be able to use 5th gear?
Also, what would be my freeway speed with 4.88's and 35's, and will I be able to use 5th gear?

You can use 5th gear for both, especially with the 5speed. You especially would have to use 5th with the 5.29s. I am guessing freeway speed would be around 70mph. Buddy has the auto with 37's running 4.88s and he can cruise on the highway.
