Suspension upgrades for a 96 t100

I'm looking for ways to lift the front of my 2wd 96 t100. I saw that you can torque the torsion bars, and i want to add a little more along with that. I'm aware of balljoint spacers but i also heard that those aren't the best idea.
My question: Is there any way possible i could add coil springs and have my shock absorbers mounted elsewhere? My buddy has a bronco and his is setup that way. I was thinking of doing that and maybe putting coil spacers in so i could get around 2 extra inches with just spacers. On top of that, i was thinking of get new shock absorbers to match the setup(if its necessary) so total lift would be around 3 inches.

i've gone with the balljoint spacers, i do have a question though. For anyone that's done a BJ lift, did you get the A arm brace from 4crawler.com? http://www.4crawler.com/4x4/ForSale/...ntSpacer.shtml

I wasn't sure if the extra bill would be worth it. I've seen where people do it standard but how important do you think the bracket would be (1/10)?

Not a ton of options. besides cranking your torsion bars and ball joint spacers you got a bracket lift kit or a LT kit and thats about it.

Post a side view pic lets see how it turned out!

Yeah I'm gonna go with the ball joint spacers, I'll take pics as it comes along. I was wondering for the general pubic if anyone used the braces for the control arms
