Summit Racing KC Knock offs

Summit Racing KC Knock offs
I have a pair of KC Daylighters. I burnt out a 150w sealed beam bulb and i hear halgoen bulbs are a better than replacing it with another 150w sealed beam. First off is that true?
Second if i do convert to halgoen does anyone know if i can us a replacement lense from the Summit Racing Daylighter Knock offs cause its less than half the price of a KC. The summit website says there the same diameter.
Does anyone have the Summit KC knock offs, if you do is the lens and reflector one piece?
