Stock springs

Does anyone know what the difference is in the stock rear springs for a 96 4Runner are? The Toyota list 2 different springs for this year one for 15” wheels & a set for 16” wheels. I am replacing the rear springs because I all ready have the Performance Products 1” lower springs but because of the progressive spring rate (I suspect) the are bottoming out with heaver loads. When I ck’d on the stock springs from Toyota I noticed the 2 different springs. My thinking is that rates are probably the same but the height is different because of the wheel size. Can anyone confirm that?

That could be. I just wanted to retain my lowered ride height, so if the spings for the 15" wheels are the same spring rate but a lower ride height that might be my best choice.

hmm. the 2wd are defintely lower. I think the ride would be compromised though. You can always give it a shot and see what happens.

There are actually 3 different springs for the 96-97 Runner 2wd and the 2 different types for the 4wd 15” or 16” tires I ordered both so I can set them next to each other and compare.
