Spring over axle question

Hey guys, i'm wondering if i would need new plates for a ubolt flip? i've heard you need new shock mounts but i'm wondering if i can use the stock plates to avoid fabrication.

Thanks

Yes you need new plates.
The lower plates are curved to fit the diameter of the axle. They don't fit on top of the spring.
