Some E-locker questions..

I really want to put a e-locker in my truck, '96 Taco 4x4. Can I just swap out 3rd members, wire it up and go(same gearing of course) or do I need the axle housing too or basicly do a whole rear end swap?
Will a '03 Taco double cab 2x4 complete rear end fit in my truck?

Thanks for any info, insight.

I think the prerunner rear end with e locker is the same as 4x4 rear end.

the tacos use a different rear end.. they use the 8.4" however if it is e locker equipped it uses the 8" rear end....

the prerunner with the elocker is an 8"

Any year Taco with the e-locked rear end should swap into your truck pretty easily. Except of course for the new ones.

You won't be able to swap just the third members, you would have to do the whole rear axle.
